Anton Vigenser B. Env Sci (Env Mgt) - Volunteer
Anton has been a professional surf life saver at Gunnamatta and is a Mornington Peninsula surfer. After completed studies as a Bachelor of Environmental Management at Deakin, Anton is researching eco accreditation for the Clean Ocean education program and leading tours for primary and secondary students to the South Eastern Outfall on behalf of the Foundation.

Mark Akester BSC GC.Eng – Environmental Scientist
Mark has been strongly committed to environmental issues over the past 10 years, through campaigning, education and facilitation. He is qualified in Chemical Science, Environmental Engineering and Cleaner Production. Mark has an extensive knowledge in water, energy & waste management, and environmental & process improvement. He has gained much experience through running his own consultancy- Eco Strategies, which has brought economic and environmental improvement to businesses on the Mornington Peninsula. He is committed to the concept of maximising resource productivity to improve business profitability and reduce environmental impacts.
Mark’s responsibilities include Project Supervisor, Eco-Efficiency Auditor, Water Testing, Media Releases, Environmental Consultant & Chemical Scientist.

Carlo Iacovino BA (Media) & Masters of Science (Sustainability) - Communications advisor
Carlo holds a Bachelor of Media Arts degree from Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. Following completion of his degree in 2000, Carlo worked as a designer and communications specialist at a range of institutions including Monash University, the Mornington Peninsula and Western Port Region Biosphere Reserve, Hawthorn Community House and the Australian Population Institute.
Volunteer work for the Surfrider Foundation led Carlo to a role as Communications Manager at the Clean Ocean Foundation in 2003. Advocacy,awareness and education were the focus of his work during this period of time. In 2006, Carlo was appointed CEO of the Clean Ocean Foundation by its board and continues to work on ocean pollution issues such as water quality, treatment, recycling, monitoring programs, desalination, epidemiological health studies and sustainable coastal management.
In 2008-09 Carlo completed a Masters in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability in Karlskrona, Sweden. In 2010-11 he is working in the Pacific as part of the Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development (AYAD) Program.

Linda Patterson - Administration Manager
Linda is a qualified accountant who brings a wealth of experience in bookeeping, administration and excels in providing a high standard of customer service and organisational skills.
Linda as Administration Manager is resonsible for financial management, tax deductible and general donations and the Resource & Information Centre. Also in charge of Member Programs making her responsible for Memberships, Supporters and Member Benefits Program.

Simon Peraton BSC LLB (Hon) -
Simon worked for the Clean Ocean Foundation whilst he was earning an Honours Degree in Law and Science at Monash University. Simon acts as a volunteer public advocate and helped raise awareness by by working with locals and other community groups . Simon worked as an environmental lawyer with Moreheads Lawyers in Portsea from May to September 2008.

Kelly Bayton - Membership Co-Ordinator
Kelly joined the Foundation in 2003 while studying at Swinburne University for her Diploma of Environmental Management which she completed in 2004. Kelly is currently studying for her Bachelor of Environmental Scientist degree at Deakin Uni majorng in Environmental Management. Kelly was raised on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria and as a swimmer and environmentalist is concerned with the unsustainable practice of ocean outfalls and wasteage of re-usable water.
Kelly as Membership Co-ordinator is responsible for membership renewals, membership processing, membership despatching and merchandising.

Tim Smart - Filmmaker and Video Communications Unit Supervisor
Tim is a well known Australian Filmmaker with 25 years experience in TV commercials, documentaries and feature films with credits as producer, writer, director and director of photography. Tim says, "The water sustainability message has to get out there and film and television communications is an ideal medium".
Tim's current projects include a series of TV commercials on water conservation themes, a documentary on Clean Ocean Foundation's Sustainability Water Management Team and a TV drama project for primary aged school children.
Tim's responsibilities include Moving Image Conceptualisation and Production.

Dawn Forrest - Events
Dawn Forrest joins the foundation with over 30 years experience in administration, bookkeeping, marketing and database consultation in diverse business sectors locally, nationally and internationally. Raised on the Mornington Peninsula, she has experienced local environmental changes first hand and is committed to the reduction of human impact on the environment through safe, green practices by way of realistic actions in everyday life.

Tawa Harris - Industrial Adviser / Consultant
Tawa Harris is a CFMEU member, dedicated surfer and founding member of Clean Ocean Foundation. Tawa draws on organising techniques and skills similar to those of a union organiser. If you have seen a poster, T-shirt or ad for the Foundation recently it is probably because of Tawa’s extensive groundwork.
Tawa helped build the membership of the Foundation to amazing levels and continues to act as a spokesperson and ambassador for Clean Ocean at sites around the country.
Tawa’s responsibilities include, Organising, Recruitment and Public Advocacy.

Kerry Clarke - Corporate Adviser / Consultant
Kerry Clarke has over 18 years experience in the corporate arena as a consultative sales person. Kerry has brought to the foundation a plethora of business skills and addictive motivation. She has worked within many different business sectors and with staff at all levels. Kerry’s role is to create awareness of the Foundation within Australia’s corporate market, gaining support, developing partnerships and sponsorship funding to allow the Foundation to achieve its goals.
Kerry is currently living and working in Europe.

Angus Smith
Angus first became involved with Clean Ocean in 2003 as National Campaign Manager for the Foundation. Angus has had extensive experience in directing and working on campaigns for many organisations including the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU) & the Australian Republican Movement (ARM).
Angus has sinced opened his own business Campaign Partners www.campaignpartners.com.au and will assist Clean Ocean Foundation with future projects. |
