State and Territory Campaigns

Introduction

Clean Ocean Foundation is running a number of national campaigns to protect our ocean ecosystem, establish sustainable water management and achieve the National Ocean Outfall Closure strategy.

The campaigns are designed to:
Raise community awareness

• Education Program
• Media

Lobbying government

• Informing relevant politicians from all political parties about the issue and inviting them to join the Foundation in the campaign against ocean pollution
• Raising awareness of campaign in marginal seats
• Putting best practice in water management on the agenda as an election issue
• Escalate campaign inline with government public relations spin

Litigation

• Conduct water testing of marine environment and ensure polluters are prosecuted
• Ensure accountability from Water Authorities and Environment Protection Authority
• Act as a water watchdog
