Industrial reuse

On average, less than 10% of the water used by urban and industrial consumers in Australia is recycled. This results in a huge quantity of water being wasted as it flows out into the ocean via Australia's 144 outfall pipes.

This precious resource can be reduced when commercial or industrial sites reuse their water within a 'closed circuit' system. Increased use of recycled water has two main benefits: the conservation of drinking water supplies and the reduction of impact on the marine environment.
